Founded in 1986 by Marco Mantovani, Locman Italy has been on the cutting edge of design and style, sparking trends with its innovative timepieces. The brand was the first to set diamonds into aluminum, creating a whole new dazzling category of fun, diamond-embellished sports watches.
With its headquarters on the idyllic Island of Elba on the Tuscany coast, European offices in Milan and its new USA offices onNew York City's Madison Avenue, Locman has positioned itself as a trend-setting leader.
The first watch introduced by Locman has since become a collectors' piece. Called Radica, the collection features bezels carved of rare Mediterranean Briarwood. The Radica was followed by the Aluminum Sport, a new concept of incorporating feather-light metal into boldly oversized watches.
It was in 2000, though, that Locman made a tremendous impact and became a leader in style when it unveiled the Diamond Aluminum collection of tonneau-shaped aluminum watches with diamond-adorned cases.
The brainchild of company co-owner Ben Feigenbaum, the Diamond Aluminum was the first watch to combine these two diverse materials. The collection, first unveiled with diamonds only on the top of the bezel (the Half Pave), was an immediate hit and within months the diamond chronograph and the Full Pave aluminum watches were launched.
In 2001, the mother-of-pearl Full Pave collection emerged onto the scene along with the Total Pave. This was followed by the bold automatic "1970" series. In 2002, the brand won the prestigious Premio Argo award for innovation in mena fashions in Italy.
