Chopard L.U.C. Lunar One With Moon Phase Indicator
Some of today's timepieces can hardly amaze with the fact that they have a perpetual calendar but if a watch along with a calendar displays a moon phase then it can be firmly called exclusive. One exclusive watch that includes both a perpetual calendar and a moon phase indicator was designed by Chopard and is called Chopard L.U.C. Lunar One.
This watch has several important functions besides time displaying. It shows the date, the months and most importantly the moon phase. The leap years are easily taken into account by the watch's mechanism so there no need to manually change it.
The design of the watch is timeless. The dials and the indicators of the watch are rigorously done so the watch would look elegant. The rose gold that the watch is made of provides a beautiful old-fashioned design which once persisted at navigating instruments.
An interesting choice was to display the numerals 4 and 8 in a Roman style. Another fact about the watch is that its movement is mechanical and self-winding. The L.U.C. Calibre 96 is a movement that is chronometer-certified by C.O.S.C. An important feature of the watch's movement is its two coaxial barrels. The latter are based on a Twin technology which provides a 70 hour power reserve.
