In 1999, TechnoMarine developed and launched a breakthrough design, the TechnoDiamond. In 2003, TechnoMarine introduced its Maori Collection. “We wanted to come up with a product that had an emotional value,” Frank Dubarry, President of TechnoMarine, explains. “I wanted to move away from the TechnoDiamond copycats. I wanted to find something new, move further.“So I asked myself, what do I knowı And the answer was the oceans. Through my years of surfing and photography I had already discovered and learned that the South Sea people had a Maori culture. The Maori tattoos suddenly became trendy, but most people don’t know their origin. So I felt that the concept justified making our move to develop a Maori Collection. The result is that the watches are avant-garde and original. We also make it our business to explain the origins of the designs and the culture.”

Th e “TechnoSport” collection was designed for a younger, edgier consumer featuring trendy styles and fashion forward designs. One of the most original watches of the collection is “Red Square”. Named after the Red Square, Moscow's center of culture and government, the new watch from TechnoSport breaks down the barrier between function and fashion. The word "Red" in Russian is krasnaya, which also means beautiful, while "Square," refers to shape of the case. Combined, the Red Square translates into an exceptional timepiece in any language. The “Red Square” watch features a black dial, Swiss movement and a black leather band.
